Dr. Joel L. Strom, DDS, MS

With over 40 years of experience so far, Dr. Strom has a wealth of clinical expertise and talents to share with people in need. If Dr. Strom’s friends and family could have predicted his eventual profession in his younger years, dentistry would have been right at the bottom of the list, right alongside becoming the Center for the Los Angeles Lakers. He had a tremendous fear of his childhood dentist (who clearly hadn’t chosen the right occupation) so even if he had thought about being a dentist prior to that, any enthusiasm would have been squashed anyway. However, while attending the University of Southern California and working nearly full-time to pay his tuition, Dr. Strom became a test subject in a new mouth rinse study at the dental school. He had the time to touch and feel the instruments in an environment where he knew HE wasn’t going to be subjected to injections and drilling.

Dr. Strom was born and raised in Beverlywood by his parents, who were molded by their individual experiences with WWII and living through the Depression. His father was a veteran and took care of his own father’s small hydraulic jack equipment business and his mother, a vibrant 92-year-old, still drives, sings in the synagogue choir , and has sung Yiddish songs to people such as Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks. He has two younger sisters, one who is a social worker living in Seattle and the other, an executive producer for an international ad agency. Notably, they were known in the neighborhood and at school as the “three redheads” even though their parents did not have red hair!

Dr. Sol Shahri, DDS

Dr. Shahri's journey into dentistry is shaped by his personal passions and a deep appreciation for human connections. Graduating summa cum laude in Sociology from UCLA, he developed a strong understanding of how people relate to one another, an insight that now guides his approach to patient care. While he always knew he wanted a career that blended creativity, precision, and helping others, it was in USC Dental School where he materialized this vision and found the perfect avenue to bring his passions together through dentistry.

Today, family is truly the core of everything Dr. Shahri cares about, and that commitment extends to his patients, who he treats as part of his extended family. His immediate family lives in and around Los Angeles, a place that holds special meaning for him. His parents, who sacrificed so much to provide him and his sister with a better life, instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication that define his practice today. His wife, an attorney, is busy "lawyering" every day while their baby boy is "babying" all day, both of whom he cares for deeply and who fill his life with joy and laughter. That same sense of love and care is what he brings to every patient, making each visit a personal experience.

What sets Dr. Shahri apart is his genuine care for his patients as people first. He takes the time to listen, learn their stories, and make every visit feel personal. Combine that with his meticulous attention to detail and cutting-edge dental expertise, and it's easy to see why patients feel not only cared for but confident they're in the best hands.

Outside of the dental office, Dr. Shahri's background in graphic design continues to influence his work, particularly in his attention to detail and aesthetics. His experiences as a husband, father, son, and dentist shape his commitment to providing thoughtful, empathetic care.
