Becoming a New Patient: Made Easy!

We’re honored that you’re considering our dental office for all of your oral health needs. Dr. Strom and Dr. Polonus want to make the new patient process as straightforward as possible, which is why we’ve added information below on what to expect. This includes what you can expect before, during, and after your first visit.

New Patient Forms

When you first call our dental office, we will answer any questions to make sure we can provide you the services you are seeking, take down important initial information. Once you decide you want to appoint for your first visit, we will direct you to our online patient information forms. We will also outline our usual financial arrangements, estimate your costs for the first appointment, and answer your insurance questions if you utilize dental insurance. We will ALWAYS explore ways to maximize your insurance benefits and reduce your costs as allowed.

Your First Dental Visit - Virtual Check-In

When you arrive, we will take your temperature, check any forms you bring with you for clarification and completeness or give you some paperwork to fill out. If you choose to wear a mask and forgot yours, we can provide you with one. We are almost always on time so you can expect to be taken into the treatment room promptly.

Your appointment will last for approximately one hour. This usually includes:

  • A complete extra and intraoral examination of your teeth and soft tissue
  • Oral cancer screening
  • Sleep apnea screening
  • TMJ evaluation
  • Intraoral photos and X-rays as required
  • Charting of your teeth and gums
  • Presenting a treatment plan
  • Give you time to set up your next appointment

 

Dental Insurance Welcome

With dental insurance, paying for your care becomes more predictable and may be more affordable in the long-term, especially when completing preventive services like exams and cleanings. Our dental office is happy to accept insurance to work with you and perform billing on your behalf. If you need help understanding your coverage in more detail, feel free to speak with our front desk and they’ll answer any questions you may have. If you aren’t sure if we accept your plan, give us a call directly!

Flexible Payment Options

We recognize that every patient is different with different needs and a unique set of circumstances. We will work with you and do our best to plan treatment accordingly and help payments fit within your budget. Other options include applying for approval from a variety of credit companies. We use CareCredit in our dental office.
